Dina Torabi was born and raised in Tehran. Despite the fact that she had achieved the master’s degree in IT engineering, she was obsessed with fashion designing, and as a result, she took numerous design-related courses such as cloth designing, fabric materials and sewing. She first started her activity in design industry by participating in Fajr International Fashion & Clothing festival in 2018. She believes that clothing, despite its appearance, is a method to express the inner feelings and character of individuals. Because of its high capability in expression, and as a major element in clothing, line has an apparent role in Dina’s designs. The repetition of this method gives a harmonic feeling to Dina’s clothes. She considers simplicity and modernity as two important parameters for clothing designs to last over a long period. By studying the new methods, and combining aesthetics of traditional Iranian designs with contemporary art, she tries to bridge the past and present. For Dina, each of her new collections is a progressive step to introduce a new meaning of art to the world regardless of gender. She tries to demonstrate what the real art is, and regardless of gender, she draws a picture of modernity all over the western and eastern culture.
